Product Engineering and Manufacturing

This is the second edition of the textbook written for students. Product engineering and manufacturing course. Product Engineering and manufacturing is offered at the junior-level. The course builds upon the students’ first year introductory design course and prepares them for a capstone design experience in the senior year. The course outcome is for students to thoroughly understand a comprehensive product development process. The strategy in the course and the textbook is to focus on a globally marketed product, mass- produced by a local company. While the course is for mechanical engineering majors, the content is broad and suitable for students in any engineering discipline.
